  • Individual (Pedestrian or on Bike): $15
  • Large Non-commercial Vehicles (16 people or more): $15 per person

How long is the entrance fee valid for?

Once you pay the ranger the entrance fee for your respective vehicle, the entrance fee is valid for a full seven days. This means you can enter and exit the park freely without having to pay again. All you need to do is show the ranger your receipt and you are good to go. The pass is only valid for seven consecutive days, so you cannot leave and come back many days later. Display your receipt on your dashboard while parking.

America the Beautiful Annual Pass: $80

The National Park Service offers an annual pass for just $80. This pass allows you to enter any national park and various federal lands for a full twelve months. This annual pass pays for itself after visiting just three national parks. This pass is well worth it if you are planning on visiting at least three parks within a twelve month span.

Joshua Tree Annual pass: $55

If you want to visit Joshua Tree National Park multiple times over the same year, this pass is well worth the price. You need to just visit the park two times in a twelve month span to get your money’s worth. This is a great pass for those that love Joshua Tree and want to experience it at different times of the year!

Active Military Annual Pass: Free

The National Park Service provides free Annual passes to active duty military personelle. All you have to do is provide your active military id to a ranger at the Joshua Tree National Park entrance station and you will receive an annual pass valid for twelve months. This is a great way to save money on your entrance fee if you or a family member or friend are active in the US military.

Senior Pass (Annual or Lifetime): $80 & $20

If you are a senior or are visiting with a senior you have the option to buy a lifetime National Park Pass for just $80. This is a fantastic deal to save money on visiting National Parks. If you are on a budget there is also a great deal for just $20 for an annual pass. This pass is valid for a full twelve months from the date of purchase. Both passes allow you to enter any National Park or various federal lands for free once you purchase the passes.

Fourth Grader Pass: Free

The National Park Service teamed up with EveryKidOutdoors to provide fourth graders with a way to get an annual pass completely for free. All you need to do is sign up for a form at Everykidoutdoors.gov
